Born and raised in El Salvador, Krissia moved to the United States at the age of 17, driven by a passion for learning and a desire to make a difference. As a first-generation graduate, she is a trailblazer in her family, paving the way for future generations to pursue higher education and professional success.
Before pursuing her graduate studies, Krissia completed her undergraduate degrees in Criminal Justice and Psychology at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). Her unique educational background equips her with a multifaceted understanding of human behavior, which she leverages to foster inclusive and equitable work environments.
Krissia became a member of Pi Gamma Mu, the international honor society in social sciences, which recognizes excellence in the study of social sciences. This affiliation highlights her dedication to academic achievement and her passion for understanding human behavior and societal structures.
