Clinical Psychology: Eating Disorders, Suicidality, Implementation Science, Comorbidity, Adolescence, & Dialectical Behavior Therapy
Michelle is a third-year doctoral student in the Clinical Psychology Ph.D program and works with Dr. Sarah Fischer in the Impulse Lab. Prior to beginning her training at George Mason, Michelle obtained her Bachelor’s degree from Elon University in 2020 and her Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2021. Michelle also worked as a Clinical Research Coordinator in the Center for Translational Research at Children’s National Hospital in Washington, D.C.
Her research interests include the development and maintenance of co-occurring eating disorders and suicidality (i.e. suicidal ideation, attempt, and self-injury) in adolescents, as well as implementing evidence-based interventions in pediatric inpatient settings.
Outside of school, Michelle enjoys traveling, yoga, trying new restaurants/coffee shops and watching movies.
