Her research interests focus on teacher support, student agency, and self-regulated learning.
Xiaorong (Amber) is a third-year doctoral student in the Department of Educational Psychology at George Mason University. She received her M.S. in Educational Psychology from George Mason University in 2018 and has been awarded a Dean’s Scholarship for her Ph.D. studies. She has been working with Dr. Kimberly Sheridan on the IMLS STEMeX project as well as in the Mason Arts Research Center (MasonARC). She has also been working with Dr. Anastasia Kitsantas on a project that aims to help science teachers support students’ computational thinking and self-regulated learning.
