Human Factors/Applied Cognition
Toey (Pawinee) Pithayarungsarit is a PhD student in the Human Factors/Applied Cognition program, with research interests in the field of human-automation interaction focusing on Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI). Her research investigates how XAI influences human behaviors and attitudes when working on AI-assisted decision making tasks, and how the automated system should be implemented to optimize joint human-system performance. Moreover, her interest also expands to psychometrics and measurement in human-robot interaction research.
Toey is currently working in the human-agent collaboration lab (hac lab) under the supervision of Dr. Eileen Roesler and the human-robot interaction lab (hri lab). Please visit our labs' websites for more information on current research projects.
