Dr. Nastassia M. Savage is an Assistant Professor in the Industrial-Organizational (I-O) Psychology graduate program. She received her PhD in I-O Psychology with a concentration in Occupational Health Psychology from Clemson University in 2019. Previously, Dr. Savage was a Visiting Assistant Professor at Old Dominion University teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in I-O Psychology. Before that, she was the Director of Organizational Assessment and Evaluation at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), in which she consulted with various faculty, residents, and students in the VCU Health System regarding medical research projects and annually assessed the clinical learning environment for the resident physicians, providing guidance and insights into interventions for improvement. Throughout her career as an I-O Psychologist, she has worked to apply best practices to individuals, teams, departments, and organizations as a whole, including leading and collaborating on a wide-variety of applied and research projects with multidisciplinary and interprofessional colleagues and is well-versed in working independently but thrives when working with others of diverse professional and personal backgrounds. As a life-long learner, Dr. Savage continuously seeks to better understand the current state of the literature and how it applies to various professional and occupational contexts.
