Industrial/Organizational Psychology: adverse impact and employment discrimination, organizational justice, counterproductive work behaviors, and diversity, equity, and inclusion
Monique is in her second year of George Mason’s doctoral program in Industrial-Organizational (I-O) Psychology and is working under Dr. Deborah Rupp and Dr. Yijue Liang. Prior to George Mason, Monique earned her Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with concentrations in Finance and Management from the University of Washington and her Master of Arts degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from Seattle Pacific University.
In addition, she has worked in finance and accounting in various industries for about a decade and held a board of directors position with a Seattle nonprofit focused on environmental justice and education. Her professional experience along with her education has informed her research interests in employment discrimination, organizational justice, and counterproductive work behaviors. All with an emphasis on diversity, equity, and inclusion. Current projects are centered on adverse impact, self-determination theory, corporate social responsibility, sexual harassment, occupational health, and machine learning.
Monique also enjoys teaching and has been in teaching roles since her time at Seattle Pacific University. Additionally, she is passionate about advising and mentoring students.
