Applied Developmental Psychology: Child play, parent-child playful interactions, and parenting in relation to child social and emotional development

Lamin Fatty is a first year PhD student in Dr. Goldstein’s lab. He received his BA in Education from The University of The Gambia. He worked in one of the regional offices of the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education of The Gambia as an Education Officer focusing on Early Childhood Development. He also for the duration of the project period, worked with Child Fund, an international NGO in the Gambia as a Mentor in the organization's parenting project from 2018-2019. He later graduated from the University of Haifa in 2020 with an MA in Child Development. His interests are in how child play and parent-child playful interactions or playful parenting can promote social and emotional development of children and parent-child relationship quality respectively.
