Human Factors/Applied Cognition: Cognitive training, stress resilience, vigilance, attention, working memory, simulation training, serious games, virtual environments

Erika De Los Santos is a doctoral student in both the ARCH and HeART labs. Graduating Summa Cum Laude, she received her B.A. in Psychology from the Honors College at Texas Tech University in 2017. She is excited to bring her experiences from an array of different research labs including human computer interaction, visual perception, and cognition into her own research at George Mason University.

Her main research interests lie in cognitive training and simulation training in stressful environments, especially for emergency response personnel. In the future, she would like to explore serious games in both high and low-fidelity simulations. She has skills in Transcranial Doppler ultrasonography (TCD), Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tCDS), and Functional Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (fNIRS).
