Applied Developmental Psychology: Parent emotion socialization and young children's social-emotional development
Lamin Fatty is a PhD candidate in Dr. Goldstein’s lab. He received his BA in Education from The University of The Gambia. He worked in one of the regional offices of the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education of The Gambia as an Education Officer focusing on Early Childhood Development. He also for the duration of the project period, worked with Child Fund, an international NGO in the Gambia as a Mentor in the organization's parenting project from 2018-2019. He later graduated from the University of Haifa in 2020 with an MA in Child Development. His research focuses on parent emotion socialization and associated social-emotional outcomes for young children in African and African immigrant contexts. He also has interest in the development, implementation, and evaluation of play-based parent-child programs and interventions aimed at enriching young children social-emotional skills.
