Director's Welcome
Director's Welcome
The Honors Program in Psychology is a unique opportunity for students to take part in research, write up their findings, and present them to a panel of their peers all while being guided by or faculty. This is a program designed to produce scholars, those who wish to practice their research skills for use in graduate school and those industries that require a keen mind and an eye for detail.
The ability to synthesize information and present it in an understandable, comprehensive manner is an important skill as you move from your undergraduate degree to whatever it is you decided to do next. This program seeks to help you hone that skill. More than just a three course session, this is a program that will have you working directly with faculty on assignments that have a real impact current university research.
As the director of the GMU Psychology Honors Program, I would like to welcome you. Please take some time to look at these pages to learn more about this program, and consider putting in an application. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to reach out.
