About the Presenters
Dr. Robyn Mehlenbeck, PhD, ABPP

Dr. Robyn Mehlenbeck is a Child and Adolescent Clinical board certified psychologist who specializes in working with adolescents and kids with medical conditions, including eating disorders and diabetes. Her specialty extends to working with families of adolescents with and without medical issues, using a family systems approach to treatment.  Currently, she is a Clinical Associate Professor at George Mason University and the Director of the GMU Center for Psychological Services, a clinic committed to training graduate students and providing services for the community.  She is also a research fellow at the GMU Center for Well-Being.

Dr. Mehlenbeck has several publications and has presented nationally and internationally in the areas of working with children and adolescents with medical issues.  
Eileen Long-Farias, LPC, CEAP

Eileen currently works at The Women's Center as the Education Program Director.  Eileen spent 17 years at the Pentagon where she provided counseling and crisis intervention services to the primarily civilian population.  She also created and provided numerous trainings, groups and workshops on a variety of subjects ranging from parenting and stress management to leadership development and team building.  Eileen had the privilege of being a first responder to the needs of the Pentagon's population during and after 9/11.  In addition to working with traumatized individuals and groups, she trained and coordinated the Pentagon's Crisis Assessment and Response Team.  

She also coordinated a teen program for the Foreign Service Youth Foundation for 10 years which served the mental health and support needs of internationally mobile teens upon re-establishment in the US.  

Eileen has also maintained a private practice in the city of Fairfax for the past 9 years where she specializes in trauma and anxiety.
