Abstract:

This narrative review addresses methods used to capture trust in automation by examining measurements deployed in existing empirical works, categorizing those measures, and examining them within the context of existing models of trust. The resulting work provides a reference tool for researchers, providing a list of all available trust-in-automation measurement methods along with the model-derived construct that they capture. Furthermore, recommendations are provided on how to improve the current state of trust-in-automation measurement.
