Provides foundational competencies in mental health service tailored to prepare for working in mental health settings. Students will develop foundational competencies in ethics and confidentiality, cultural sensitivity, documentation and record keeping, and multiple relationships. Emphasis is placed on case examples, professional standards, and readiness for supervised fieldwork in community and clinical settings. This course provides comprehensive preparation for individuals seeking registration as Qualified Mental Health Professional Trainee (QMHP - T). Offered by Psychology. May be repeated within the degree for a maximum 6 credits.
