Creating a Family of Scholars

Creating a Family of Scholars
Graduate student advisor, Katrina Schmerold advises new transfer student

Making new friends, getting involved, and familiarizing oneself around campus are extremely important aspects of orientation, but the Undergraduate Office team wants to make sure our students are also off to a great start academically and are putting down roots! We want each student of the Psychology community to succeed and join our growing family of scholars.

During our summer orientation advising sessions we're attempting to plant the seeds of academic success through short one-on-one advising sessions.Department faculty, graduate student advisors, and Director of Advising, Dr. Michael Hurley are on site to help each student create their fall schedule.

Meeting and advising new students during orientation is the highlight of our summer. We are very excited to welcome each new student to our family and look forward to the upcoming orientation sessions. See you in the fall!
