The College of Humanities and Social Sciences is proud to honor Steven Zhou, PhD Psychology '24, CERG Computational Social Science '24, with the 2026 CHSS G.O.L.D. - Graduate of the Last Decade award.
Zhou is an assistant professor of psychological science at Claremont McKenna College. His research sits at the intersection of leadership, personality, and vocational psychology, with methodological expertise in psychometrics, multivariate statistics, machine learning, computational modeling, and R & Tableau for data analysis and visualization.
Zhou is also a leadership and operations consultant, primarily for nonprofits. He serves on the board of directors for Project SHORT, a 501(c)3 dedicated to expanding graduate school access through mentorship. He previously oversaw a $2 million annual operating budget and successfully led an executive leadership succession plan and hire. He has also worked in institutional data analytics overseeing all surveys for a 50k+ faculty and student body and in HR analytics for a 300 FTE sales division.
