The College of Humanities and Social Sciences is proud to honor Karin Orvis, MA Psychology '01, PhD '07, with the 2025 CHSS Alumni Service Award.
Orvis has built a distinguished career at the intersection of policy and public service. She has held senior executive roles across the U.S. Federal Government and has guided interagency teams in shaping evidence-based policies. Her career also includes academic and private sector experience in organizational effectiveness and leadership development.
She currently serves as chief of statistical and science policy in the Office of Management and Budget’s Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, where she leads the effort to coordinate the U.S. Federal Statistical System to ensure the integrity and impartiality of federal data and scientific information.
