The Society for Research in Child Development (SRCD) has appointed Dr. Adam Winsler, Professor of Psychology, as Co-Editor-in-Chief of its flagship journal, Child Development. Dr. Winsler will serve alongside Dr. Shauna M. Cooper of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in leading one of the most influential journals in the field of developmental science.
Child Development is internationally recognized for publishing rigorous and innovative research on the psychological, biological, and sociocultural aspects of child development. As Co-Editor-in-Chief, Dr. Winsler will play a key role in shaping the journal’s editorial direction, overseeing peer review processes, and curating special issues that reflect emerging trends and challenges in the field.
Dr. Winsler is widely known for his research on early childhood education, bilingual language development, self-regulation, and the role of private speech in learning. "I am truly honored and excited about partnering with Dr. Shauna Cooper to co-edit Child Development and serve both SRCD and the field in this important way,” said Dr. Winsler.
