David Wallace posthumously honored as 2023 distinguished alumni in Psychology

The College of Humanities and Social Sciences is proud to honor David Wallace*
MA Psychology '15, PhD '17 with the 2023 Distinguished Alumni Award in Psychology.  

Wallace served his country honorably in the United States Navy for more than 30 years. Wallace was exceedingly generous with his time and expertise, teaching and mentoring graduate students at Mason, forging collaborative relationships that led to publishing and presenting research in prestigious journals and conferences, and pushing both the field and his institutions with kindness and creativity toward the advancement of critical knowledge and innovation. Wallace passed away at the age of 48 on December 26, 2022, from his battle with glioblastoma multiforme.

The distinguished alumni awards are given each fall at the college's signature event, Community and Catalysts: Achievements, Awards and Innovations, a celebration of alumni, faculty, and students whose leadership, research, and service have made outstanding contributions to their fields, communities, and to the university.
