Human Factors Ph.D. Student Selected For ACM/IEEE Human-Robot Interaction Pioneers Program in Sweden

Human Factors Ph.D. student, Andres Rosero, was selected for the ACM/IEEE Human-Robot Interaction Pioneers Program!

The pioneer's program is a prestigious forum for graduate students in HRI. The program seeks to foster creativity and collaboration surrounding key challenges in human-robot interaction and empower students early in their academic careers. Each year, the workshop brings together a cohort of the world's top student researchers and provides the opportunity for students to present and discuss their work with distinguished student peers and senior scholars in the field. Andres' work on mitigating deception used by social robots was one of only 19 applications accepted, representing GMU to universities worldwide. He will present this work at the HRI conference in Stockholm, Sweden in March 2023.

Congratulations! 🎉
