Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience
Carlos Hernandez is a graduate student in Dr. Jane Flinn's lab studying Alzheimer's disease. His master's thesis was on The effects of supplemented zinc on learning and memory in tau mice (P301L/CaMKII) using contextual and cued fear extinction. He has experience in animal behavior and molecular neuroscience
Carlos is also a senior animal care technician (ALAT certified) at Krasnow Institute Animal Facility. He performs daily animal health surveillance, veterinarian treatment, and facility maintenance support.
