The Department of Psychology at George Mason University supports high standards of scholarship to inform and improve a changing world. We are committed to training students at all levels, from high school students who intern with us, through post-doctoral students seeking to gain additional skills after receiving their doctoral degree. Students at all levels have the opportunity to work side by side with our faculty; some going on to do their own independent research through our undergraduate honors program. The generosity of our alumni and friends provides opportunities for students, support for the programs, and helps to ensure the continued growth and success of our Department.

You may make a gift to the Department of Psychology through one or more of the following giving opportunities.  The Psychology Department Fund supports the students, faculty, and programs that make our department such a unique community of scholars. The Psychology Emergency Scholarship provides support to students who find themselves in unexpected financial distress. The Psychology Scholarship Fund provides funding for research and educational opportunities for psychology students. The Industrial and Organizational (IO) Psychology Student Association Fund helps with conference travel, data collection, and other research-related activities for the IO graduate students. The Center for Psychological Services Fund helps to support accessible, state-of-the-art therapy and testing services for the Northern Virginia/DC community, as well as hands-on training opportunities for psychology students. The Human Factors Student Fund helps with conference travel, data collection, and other research-related activities for the human factors graduate students.
