This course is designed to provide an overview of the study of psychopathology. This course will be an overview in the sense that we will discuss the theoretical concepts behind mental illness, diagnosis, classification, and treatment.

Study of development of abnormal behavior patterns, including such topics as methods of diagnosis and prevention of serious mental disorders such as psychosomatic disorders, psychoses, character disorders, and intellectual disability. Limited to three attempts.
Recommended Prerequisite: PSYC 100 and either PSYC 211, 231, or 324 or permission of instructor.
