This course will introduce students to the experimental analysis of learning and behavior.  Although much of the focus will be on animal learning in the laboratory, the importance of basic learning mechanisms in understanding animal and human behavior, as well as the application of learning theory to real-world examples, will be emphasized.   

This is the lab section, to be taken in conjunction with a lecture.

PSYC 304 2D2 is a distance education section.

Principles of animal learning, including such topics as classical and operant conditioning, discrimination learning, and animal cognition. Notes: Laboratory projects require working with computer simulations. Limited to three attempts.
