This class will familiarize you with current concepts and research on adult psychopathology. Typically, we will cover diagnosis and classification, epidemiology, course, and the genetic, neurobiological, and psychosocial factors implicated in the etiology, pathogenesis, and maintenance of the disorder. Sociodemographic and cultural factors are important contextual considerations in psychopathology that are discussed throughout the course.

First of required two-course sequence that provides comprehensive coverage of major psychological problems, including review of empirically supported interventions. Notes: Open to clinical psychology PhD students, or other students with permission of instructor. May not be repeated for credit.

Enrollment is limited to students with a major in Psychology.

Enrollment is limited to Graduate level students.
