Psychology Graduate Wears Family Heirloom

Psychology major Daniel Brooks Jr. wears a 100-year-old black wool graduation robe at the 2010 Convocation of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences and Commencement of George Mason University. Following a sacred family tradition, Brooks is the 30th family member to wear the gown. The first was his great-great-grandmother, who graduated from Wellesley College on June 21, 1910.

Parasuraman, Thompson, and Shaw receive Nickerson Award

Dr. Raja Parasuraman received the Inaugural Raymond S. Nickerson Award for Best Paper in the 2009 issue of the Journal of Experimental Psychology: Applied with coauthors James Thompson and Tyler Shaw, as well as graduate students Ewart de Visser, Ellen Clarke, Ryan McGarry, and Liz Hussey.
