Undergraduate Programs
George Mason’s Psychology program offers an array of courses in the discipline, from developmental, social, and abnormal psychology to cognitive and biopsychology. In addition, special topics courses, such as forensic psychology and developmental psychobiology, are offered in the catalogue.
The number of students completing their B.S. or B.A. coursework in Psychology at George Mason is 1,000 and growing. Students from different majors also choose to supplement their degrees with a minor in Psychology.
Undergraduates in Psychology have plenty of opportunities to develop personally and academically. Many courses offered in the program are relevant to today’s concerns; some popular courses offered are: Applied Cross Cultural Psychology, Romantic Relationships, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Psychology of Women.
Students can also earn course credit by assisting faculty and graduate students in their research projects, become a member of Psi Chi, the psychology national honor society, and eligible students can work on their own research project, under the department Honors Program.
